Realizing the error, she creates a new item record with the exact same information (including barcode). When the item was returned, it appeared to check-in without error but remains on the patrons' card as Checked out. ** Solution:** Open the "Items' Out" screen of the patron record. Right-click on the item, and choose "Check in". ** Other notes:** Since this issue was first reported on Bug 377, methods were built in to Evergreen to help prevent future occurrences of this issue. ---- ==== Renewals ==== ==== Patron Registration and Maintenance ==== ==== Bills and Fines ==== ==== Holds ==== === Holds Pull List === === Holds Shelf List === ==== Lost and Missing Materials ==== ==== Custom Receipt Printing ==== ==== Offline Mode ==== ===== Cataloging ===== ==== Adding and Maintaining Titles ==== === MARC Editor === ==== Adding and Maintaining Copies and Volumes ==== == == ---- == Unable to abort the transfer of an item == **Scenario:** An item is showing as In-Transit, but trying to abort or get details of the transfer results in the "White Screen of Death". **Cause:** This can be caused by a database issue. The circulation status will show "In-Transit", but there's no open transit record for the item. **Solution:** Check the item in. If the item is at its circ_lib, it will be changed to "Reshelving" status. If it is not, it will be put In-transit (which should be abort-able). ---- === Printing Spine Labels in Batch === ==== Title Merging Interface ==== ==== Batch Editing with Buckets ==== ===== OPAC ===== ==== How to Search the OPAC ==== ==== My Account Area ==== === Bookbags === ===== Statistical Reporting ===== ==== Quick and Dirty, I Just Want Some Numbers ==== ==== Templates, Definitions, and Reports ==== ==== Step by Step Example Templates to Create ==== ===== Local System Administration ===== ==== Local System Administration Area ==== === Shelving Locations === === Non Cataloged Types === === Statistical Categories === === Library Holidays === === Printer Settings === === When to Run AutoGen === If you change any of the following, you must run autogen:\\ *The org unit name *The org unit shortname (policy code) *The type of the org unit (System, Branch, BookMobile, etc) *The position of the org unit within the tree (moved to another parent; moved up to the System level under PINES; etc) *The visibility of the org unit *Adding an org unit *Adding an org unit type *The removal of an org units or locales *If you add a locale - (1.6 and above) *If you add a new org "lasso"- (1.6 and above) *If you change the fm_IDL.xml file - developers only ==== Advanced Staff and Permission Management ==== ==== Surveys ==== ===== Misc ===== ==== Inventory Control ==== ==== SIP2 Interface ==== ==== Collection Agency Interface ==== ==== Barcode Scanners ==== === Metrologic MS951 === == == ---- == Preceding "b" and trailing "d" when scanning == **Scenario:** Scanning a barcode, the letter "b" is appended to the beginning and the letter "d" to the end. As such, a barcode such as "3 1259 61554154 4" will be scanned in as "b31259615541544d" and will result in an error. **Cause:** This is caused when the barcode scanner's internal configuration is changed or corrupted. **Solution:** You will need to reset the barcode scanner back to its internal factory defaults. To do this, follow the instructions here ---- == Scanning a barcode doesn't automatically enter == **Scenario:** You scan barcodes, and the numbers show up as they should. However, you are forced to press [Enter] (on the keyboard) before they will take in Evergreen. **Cause:** This is caused when the barcode scanner's internal configuration is changed or corrupted. **Solution:** You will need to reset the barcode scanner back to its internal factory defaults. To do this, follow the instructions here ----
