Time limits and countdowns cause problems for people using most types of assistive technology as well as people with attention or sensory processing disorders. Content that disappears, like toasts, should have an option to persist. (Using a standard alert message with a close or dismiss button is probably a better choice.) Content that refreshes should include a way to pause or delay the refresh.
