  • We discussed how consortium manage and clean up reports. Suggestions include:
    • Set up chron jobs to delete outputs and non-recurring reports after a set period of time.
    • Be sure to set up time out windows so faulty templates to run forever.
    • Include the source as well as the paths for display and filter fields in the description/notes.
    • Include the Evergreen version in the template name to know create time at a glance.
    • Run reports on unused templates to delete unnecessary ones.
    • Run reports on the template/report run history to delete unneeded recurring or ones from inactive staff.
    • Use the documentation url to share links to additional instructions.
    • Review permissions and who can run/build/share templates.
    • Be aware that migrated data will impact how you use reports, especially for weeding purposes.
    • Review the differences in functionality between Simple Reports and full Reports.
    • Review the use of nullability especially for reports using Statistical Categories
