Evergreen as a member of the Software Freedom Conservancy

The following documents were prepared by the Governance Committee that was formed at the 2010 Evergreen International Conference.

Software Freedom Conservancy Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement

Our application to join the Software Freedom Conservancy was provisionally accepted. As of 2011-04-30, the Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement (PDF) defines the formal relationship of the Evergreen project as a member of the Conservancy.

Evergreen Oversight Board

The Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement was signed by members of the Evergreen community, called the Evergreen Oversight Board, who were part of the Governance Committee that formed at the 2010 Evergreen International Conference. One of the first requirements of the Rules of Governance is for this initial set of Evergreen Oversight Board members to define a mechanism for electing Board members in future years.

Rules of Governance

The Rules of Governance (PDF) (PDF converted to Google Docs), adopted 2011-04-29, define the purpose and operating rules for the Evergreen Oversight Board.

As of March 3, 2011, the Rules of Governance are being maintained in AsciiDoc format in the Evergreen Community Contributions repository so that the evolution of the document(s) can be tracked. Instructions for generating PDF and HTML versions can be found in the README file in the same directory.

Historical information

Drafts of previous documents, etc, can be found in the Governance Archive page.
