The following diagram is a suggested remodelling of the basic bib / volume / copy hierarchy to support serials subscriptions and e-resources with MFHD compliance and claiming:

Sub	Subscription (per subscription period, typically annual)
Issuance	Each issue generated by a particular subscription
Summary	Holdings summary statement (updated every time an issuance is created)
